Data Deletion

Request deletion

1. Email hello@heyzuzu.app with the subject “Hey Zuzu data deletion”.
2. Include your connected Instagram username and, if relevant, the linked WhatsApp number with country code. Tell us whether you want your entire account deleted or only specific saved items or a channel connection removed.
3. We will verify that you control the relevant account, explain the scope and process the request. We will confirm completion or explain any information that must be retained and why.

Requests are handled by our support team. Sending “delete my data” in a chat is not a guarantee of automatic deletion. Never include your password, access token or verification code in a deletion email.

What account deletion covers

A verified account-deletion request covers your account and linked identities, personal library associations, notes, collections, reminders, associated conversation context, and transcripts or downloaded files held solely for your account. We cancel pending reminders and revoke associated library sessions as part of the request. Public content independently saved by another user may remain for that user, without your private notes or account association.

Backups and exceptions

Records in backups and operational logs may require separate handling. Some limited records may need to be retained for legal obligations, security or resolving disputes. We will identify relevant exceptions and any remaining removal steps in our response. We do not claim that a request instantly removes every copy from all systems.

Stop reminders or disconnect only

Send STOP on WhatsApp, or use the disconnect control in your account settings, to stop WhatsApp reminders. This does not delete your library. Removing an authorization in Instagram also does not delete data already held by Zuzu; email us for deletion.

What Zuzu cannot delete

We cannot delete the creator’s original Reel, other users’ copies, messages held by Instagram or WhatsApp, or independent provider records. You may need to use those services’ own controls. See our Privacy Policy for details of provider processing.
